Good afternoon all. A few things to touch on today.
Firstly, a big thank you to Patti Fisher and her crew of volunteers for putting together the chicken bbq fundraiser. There is a great deal of preparation that goes into an event like this one and under her leadership and prep work this was a successful event. As she related to me it was only accomplished with the help and dedication of the folks that assisted her. Thank you to all that were involved and a big thank you to the folks that stopped by and purchased the bbq. Your patronage will help our post to continue to help our veterans and community.
Secondly, our ceiling tiles are up, and speaking about volunteers, we had many show up on the first day and that made the work that much easier. Without these folks we would of never been able to get as much done as we did! Another big thank you to all who helped and made this project come together. We finished it up on day two and what a difference, the place shines. Again, thank you to all!
Lastly, re-opening. We are awaiting to get the "green" go ahead from the state government and our state department VFW headquarters. Once given we should be opened in a few days from that announcement. We are looking forward to seeing our post family back again, you have been missed!
