Good morning all. At 3:30 pm, July 15th ,Governor Wolf issued a directive that affects our post. Once again, by order of post commander Mark Fisher, our post will be closed at 1201am on Thursday, July 16th until further notice. We received 7 1/2 hours notice of this. This is allegedly due to a covid19 spike in our state. The directive only affects restaurants, bars and clubs. We will post new information when it is announced.SRB

Ok, another thank you must go to our post manager, Mitch Maurer. He has been quietly working behind the scenes keeping the few month to month items needing to be done. Also he is one of my "go to" folks for where the "where the heck is this paperwork at!" Thank you Mitch, it is appreciated!
Hello folks, no news on reopening except there will be more work to do prior to our reopening when we get released. I will announce that when it happens.
Now just because our post is shut down doesn't mean things have come to a total stand still. Our intrepid Auxiliary has pushed through with yet another program to make some of our veterans smile (and maybe some staff along the way) they delivered 5 boxes (unknown how many individual boxes per box) of girl scout cookies to the Lebanon V.A.! Thank you for all who purchased these boxes from our Auxiliary and supported this cause. And thank you to our Auxiliary for the time and effort you put in to make our post the best that it can be. Pictured from left to right are George (Fuzzy) Tunstall, Auxiliary Treasurer Terry Rohrer and Auxiliary President Tracy Tunstall. Again, a big thank you to all involved!!!
There will be no post related meetings held this month (April). Be safe and well all.SRBDue to the upgraded level of the imposed quarantine all activities at the post are suspended until further notice. Please be well and practice all necessary precautions.3 / 28

3/24/2020Good evening all! I hope this finds you and your loved ones healthy and in good spirits. While we all make adjustments to our daily routine during these uncertain times, remember this to shall pass, albeit not without sacrifice and in some cases personal tragedy. We can all help each other and hopefully shorten this pandemic by following the advice given to us by the medical community.Self imposed quarantine: Stay home when possible.
Social Distancing: When out for vital needs maintain at lease a six foot distance from others.A little good news for the post. While we are shut down, and abiding by the social distancing and no more then a few members at the post assisting and most of the time in separate rooms, we have begun a major clean up operation and painting. Walls and woodwork have been scrubbed, and the canteen is being painted. The ceiling tiles will be changed out soon. What a difference these few members/employees have made. Because of the cleaning and painting when the post re-opens it will be non-smoking.
We are hopeful that the April 1st date remains, but I won't be surprised if another two weeks gets tacked on, only time will tell.
Stay hopeful, stay informed and follow the advice from the experts.

Hello all, so the post is closed down, not the greatest thing to happen. We are going to turn this negative into a positive. The post is going to get a complete cleaning, it has already started. We need help to get it done. If you can assist our post getting all spiffed up, please stop over after 9 am and help... the more the merrier (not to mention quicker and easier). As always, thank you
SRB🇺🇸Per order of Pennsylvania Veterans of Foreign Wars State Commander Wayne D. Perry, All Veterans of Foreign Wars Post will be closed down at midnight tonight (3/16) and not to re-open until April 1st.
